Greeneville, Tennessee – LMR Plastics has recently added two new staff members in roles which will directly impact the services which are provided to our client base.
Jay Morris has joined the LMR Plastics Team as our Tooling/Mold Engineer. Jay holds an Engineering Degree from Central Carolina University as well as a Business Degree from the University of South Carolina, and comes to us with over ten years of experience in design engineering including complex injection mold design. Jay has also spent several years in manufacturing in the commodity management and manufacturing engineering roles. “This exposure, combined with his formal educational background”, Mike Letts, Director of Business Development, comments, “provides Jay with a unique blend of technical and practical experience which he is bringing to our team.”
Jay will work within the Client Relations Team and his primary roles will be to work with our clients design teams to ensure a repeatable and manufacturable design is developed as well as working with and facilitating all tooling activities with our outside tool building partners.
Shane Patterson has been added to the LMR Plastics team in the role of Manager of Materials Procurement. Shane comes to the team with over eighteen years of experience as a Tier 1 supplier in the automotive industry. Through that time Shane’s roles have encompassed Logistics, ERP as well as Plant Management.
Shane will work within the Operations Team and his primary roles will be the procurement and procurement planning of all purchased components and materials utilized for both the injection molding and value added secondary operations. Shane will also lead efforts of continuing to upgrade inventory management systems and control.
Mike Briggs, General Manager, adds, “Shane brings with him a wealth of Logistics, manufacturing experience and a results oriented mindset. As we continue to grow, Shane’s proven ability of procurement and inventory management becomes even more imperative to further our success.”
