Bob Leonard, President

Bob Leonard is responsible, as President and Owner, for strategic oversight and leadership for Leonard Manufacturing Resources as well as sharing focus on other divisions of the Leonard Manufacturing umbrella. In addition to daily strategic oversight, Bob focuses on the financial side of the business applying his finance and accounting degrees that he received from the University of Tennessee.  Bob has been involved with LMR since 1996 when his family bought the company that had been founded in 1973. Bob and his family support the Greeneville Community with time and other resources with a special focus on the Greeneville City Schools Foundation and the Greeneville Galaxy Soccer Club.

Watson Leonard, Vice-President, Leonard & Associates

Watson Leonard is responsible for providing leadership for the Assembly and Warehouse Management divisions of LMR in addition to overseeing the corporation’s employee benefit programs. Prior to joining LMR in 2005, Watson worked for Erroyo, a multimedia education company in Knoxville, TN.  Prior to his work at Erroyo, he received degrees from the University of Tennessee in Accounting and Finance.

Mike Briggs, General Manager

Mike oversees the day to day plant operations of LMR. Mike also develops programs and processes to provide continual improvement of personnel, systems, and products to assure stakeholder satisfaction. Prior to joining LMR in 2009, Mike spent approximately five years in Industrial Engineering which is the field of study for his Bachelor of Science degree from NC State University. This was followed with Lead Project Management responsibilities including overseeing a multi-million dollar project. Mike has been in various plant upper leadership positions in the rubber and plastics industries as well as vehicle sealing manufacturing with Firestone and Continental Tire. Just prior to joining LMR, Mike was the Plant Manager of a Tier 1 automotive supplier facility consisting of approximately 1,300 employees.

Mike Letts, Director of Business Development

Mike Letts is responsible for providing leadership for the marketing and sales activities for the corporation as well as overseeing the day to day operations of the LMR Client Relations Team. Mike is also responsible as General Manager for the Contract Manufacturing division of LMR, providing leadership and oversight for all facets of that operation.  Prior to joining LMR in 2012, Mike spent the last 37 years in quality, manufacturing, and operations management, primarily as a Tier 1 and 2 automotive supplier. Just prior to joining LMR, Mike was the Vice President of the commercial branch of an international air treatment systems manufacturer serving the healthcare, food services, hotel, and general commercial markets.

Richard Trantham, Production Manager

Richard Trantham oversees all production operations focusing on efficiencies, scrap, and labor utilization. In addition, Richard manages the internal tool shop with focus on preventative maintenance, engineering changes, etc. Richard’s injection molding experience is extensive. Richard has served LMR since 1993 in various shop floor and leadership capacities including Process Technician, Shift Supervisor, Process Engineer, Tooling Manger, and currently Production Manager. Those experiences have enabled him to aid in trouble shooting any technical issues that arise. He has successfully completed numerous scientific injection molding and injection mold design training programs that allow him to apply principles learned to operations at LMR.

Dave Smith, Director of Quality

Dave Smith joined the LMR staff to add experience and knowledge in dealing with automotive parts, quality systems, and process improvement. Dave has a BS in Chemical Engineering and was certified as a Quality Engineer. Dave brings to LMR the ability to do Design of Experiments, Taguchi Experiments, and Statistical Process Control. Dave is a former Quality Manager and Production Manager with over 30+ years in the Rubber and Plastics Manufacturing Industry.

Patrick D. Dickey, Manager of IT/Materials

Patrick Dickey is responsible for oversight at LMR for all activities regarding information system infrastructure as well as providing direct management for the Materials area. After receiving his degree in Systems Analysis/Programming, Patrick worked for domestic and international Tier 1 manufacturers for the automotive industry where his responsibilities included the systems analysis and management requirements for Information Technology and Logistics. Patrick has managed or assisted the management of the implementation of ERP systems for all those companies as well as creating and modifying policies for IT, Materials, and Logistics areas.

April Brown, Human Resources Manager

April Brown has been a member of the LMR group since 1999. She is responsible for the administration and maintaining of employee files and records, recruitment, payroll processing, administration of benefits and compliance procedures, OSHA, and Workers Compensation. She also serves as the company’s safety team leader.

Angie Newberry, Controller

Angie Newberry has served as Controller for LMR since 1999. She is responsible for overseeing the company’s daily accounting functions as well as the periodic reporting of financial statements. She also ensures the company’s compliance with reporting to regulatory agencies for tax and other purposes. Angie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Management from Carson-Newman University. Subsequently, she completed the requirements for designation as Certified Public Accountant and maintains that certification with ongoing continuing education classes.

David Holbert, Quality Manager

David Holbert has been a member of the LMR group since 2004. As Quality Manager, David works closely with our customers’ quality and engineering departments. He promotes continuous improvement to help keep LMR one of the ‘Top suppliers in America’. David is responsible for maintaining our ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. Our quality management system is closely followed to reduce the opportunity for error. Prior to being part of the LMR leadership group, David worked in diverse fields from the Quality Assurance of ASME code pressure vessels to ROTO-Gravure label printing. David states ‘Quality is a way of life,’ and with it ensures products and processes being compliant to customer requirements and needs.
